My highlight of our Oregon visit!
The Multnomah Falls are 620ft (189m) high. They are located at the Columbia River Gorge. The waterfall is double-staged. The first part has a hight of 541ft (165m) while the second, lower part has a height of 69ft (21m). The spring of the waterfall is the Larch Mountain which is an extinct volcano.
Yellowstone Nationalpark – bisons everywhere.
Yellowstone national park was founded on March 1st in 1872 and is the first and with the oldest national park in the world. In 1978 UNESCO declared Yellowstone as world nature heritage.
Point Reyes is an unbelievably beautiful place to go hiking and to enjoy nature.
Places like this are perfect to escape those busy, large cities with tons of people and all this traffic.
Monterey….a typical small coast town along Hwy 1 and a perfect day trip from San Francisco.
Monterey is located between San Francisco and Carmel-By-The-Sea. From San Francisco, Monterey is approximately 2 1/2 hours and 120miles away. Between Monterey and Carmel-By-The-Sea, the 17-Mile Drive is located, which should definitely be another point on the Roadtrip-To-Do-List.
Parking is for free on Sundays!
A wonderful, natural beach with a cute little town.
Half Moon Bay is a small town with 12.000 residents. The town is especially known for its annual Art&Pumpkin Festival and all the Pumpkin Patches and Christmas tree sales around.
In Downtown you can find many cafés. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon drinking tea. Around Half Moon Bay are man farms where you can buy local fruits and vegetables.
